LACA E-mail Retrieval
Methods |
Outlook Web Access (OWA)
The easiest method...no setup is
required. All you need is a web browser. You can connect
from anywhere that you have an Internet connection, and you will
get full access to your messages, calendar, and contacts stored on
the LACA Exchange server.
|
Outlook 2007
Autodiscover Setup (PDF Format)
If you have Outlook 2007,
this is the easiest and recommended connection method. You can connect from
anywhere (at school, at home, on the road) using this method. You
will have full access to your messages, calendar, and contacts
stored on the LACA Exchange server.
|
Outlook 2007/2003
Manual Configuration (PDF Format)
If you have Outlook 2003, or if you
cannot get Outlook 2007 to work using the Autodiscover feature,
this is the recommended connection method. You can connect from
anywhere (at school, at home, on the road) using this method. You
will have full access to your messages, calendar, and contacts
stored on the LACA Exchange server.

Outlook
2002/2000
Outlook 2002 and 2000 can ONLY
connect to the LACA Exchange server directly from inside the LACA
network. These clients do not support the RPC over
HTTPS method of connection and are not good choices for connecting
from home. You CAN set them up as IMAP or POP3 from home, but they
will only have the same capabilities as Outlook Express. You
will only have access to your email message, but not to calendars
or contacts stored on the LACA Exchange server. If you have
Outlook 2003 or 2007 available, it is recommended that you use
them instead.
|
Outlook Express
Outlook Express is only capable of
POP3 and IMAP connections. You cannot access your calendar
or contacts stored on the LACA Exchange server. Any calendar
appointments or contacts you enter are stored on the local
computer and that is the only place you can access them. If
you have the option of Outlook 2003 or 2007, it is recommended
that you use those instead of Outlook Express in order to take
full advantage of the functionality of the LACA Exchange server.

and have full access to your messages, calendar, and contacts.
If your PDA/cell phone only supports IMAP or POP3, please click
the link below for general information on setting up IMAP/POP3.
